About Avocados

There are over 40 varieties of avocados. Hass, Fuerte, Pinkerton, and Jumbo are our main export varieties. The Hass is the most popular as it\’s available all year round and has a buttery, nutty flavor and spherical shape. Its skin turns from a bold green to a dark purplish-black as it ripens. Fuerte is preferred for processing.

Avocados are the go-to ingredient for guacamole dips. You can use them for salads, smoothies, wraps, and even brownies. They are high in monounsaturated fat, which helps to lower bad cholesterol.
